Delete your data
Last updated: 20 October 2026. This page applies to the Cookobel app by Marco Desiderio (see the legal notice). Cookobel has no account to sign in to. Whatever we store about your household, we delete on request.
How to request deletion
- Open the menu ⋮ in the app. At the top it says “Household” followed by a 6-character ID, for example “Household AbC123”.
- Write to us using the contact form: “Please delete my data” and this ID. If you no longer have the app, give us the order number of a purchase from your Google Play receipt instead (it starts with “GPA.”), or a voucher you redeemed.
- We delete the data within one month and reply to you once it's done.
Without the ID, an order number or a voucher we cannot find your data, because we don't store any names or email addresses for a household.
What we delete
- Your household's entry with our service: the IDs of the household and its devices, credit and redeemed vouchers.
- Your purchases with us: order numbers and Google Play purchase records.
- Entries with your ID in the cost log, and reports sent with “Report a problem”.
Important: afterwards, the full version and any purchased or free credit are gone for all devices in your household. Google Play does not refund anything for this.
What remains
- Your recipes, photos and meal plans are only on your devices, not with us. You delete them yourself in the app or by uninstalling the app – on every device in your household, as well as any backup files you have made.
- We keep the shared nutrition directory. It only contains ingredients and nutritional values, with no link to any household.
- Whatever Google Play stores about your purchases, Google deletes under its own rules.
- We delete your message sent via the contact form once the deletion is done.
- Our host's backup copies still contain the data until they are overwritten in the normal cycle.
